Fear cripples and causes you to waver from the path the Lord has set for you. Fear of death, fear of future, fear of unknown, fear of losing what you have, fear of losing loved ones, fear of failure, fear of sickness, fear of rejection has driven many to take decisions they would regret later.
When Jesus was in the ship with the tempest raging wild, He was calm and asleep. He directly related the fear that arose among the disciples to their lack of faith. The storm that is raging in your life may be much more than you can bear. Don’t let fear take a hold of you, for the Lord who created everything is your Lord too.
He who rebuked the winds and sea can calm the storm that is raging within you, if you’d trust in His love and rest in His presence. If you’d acknowledge your lack of faith, no matter what area of your life it may be in, He can increase your faith. You can be more than a conqueror through the One who conquered all.
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:26
